Bronxville Broncos Step Up for Cuba
The Bronxville HS baseball team will celebrate Fan Day on Saturday with a game against rival Tuckahoe at Scout Field. The annual event promotes Bronxville Baseball, and this year it will include a fund raiser for the Zoe B. Klimley Foundation. Festivities include a bake sale, raffle and T-shirt give-away.

Beisbol Across Cuba will also be featured on Saturday, thanks to BXV coach Anthony Vaglica. A collection box will be set up at the game, and players and families have been asked to bring lightly used gear to donate. The collection box will then be placed outside the athletic office through late-May for additional equipment donations.
It's also worth noting that Broncos senior pitcher/third baseman Jack Redpath was on the BAC bus before BAC even had a bus. Jack donated time each of the past two summers to travel to Cuba with Christ Church Bronxville. He worked in the fields, helped install water filtration systems, and even pitched in pick-up baseball games in Itabo and Favorito. According to rumor, unsubstantiated of course, Jack reluctantly agreed to take a little heat off his fastball.
Thanks, coaches and players. Go Broncos!
